Closing in on fundraising goal, Power2Peer investor total now in triple digits
The power of crowds can be a beautiful thing. Power2Peer is excited to announce that through our StartEngine equity crowdfunding campaign, we now have over one hundred investors supporting the rise of clean energy. At the time of writing, 100 people have joined Power2Peer in our mission to provide better access to locally generated renewable energy around the world.
First and foremost, this means connecting solar producers and consumers through the P2PConnect mobile application, which is already in development. P2PConnect will provide the front-end interface for users to buy and sell energy on a blockchain-secured platform, using smart contracts to automate transactions according to preference. With P2PConnect, many producers of solar will be able to achieve 100% sustainability through the peer-to-peer marketplace.
Power2Peer is also poised to make a global impact. As our engine gathers steam, we will be supporting the development of advanced solar microgrid projects in parts of the world that are rich in sunlight and yet remain underserved by grid operators. Places like India and Sub-Saharan Africa boast some of the sunniest climates in the world, and yet the majority of people still do not have reliable access to power. By building out solar projects designed with microgrid network access in mind, Power2Peer can help jumpstart a new energy economy that will drastically improve quality of life.
